We are a retired couple who live in the country in Port Lavaca, Texas. We found our passion in raising multigenerational labradoodle puppies for the last 3 years. We enjoy every minute we spend with all our babies and are so thankful we have been able to help others find their new furry family members. We are hands on from the minute they are born and they have our love and attention until they are ready to leave to their forever homes at 9 weeks.
We received our first labradoodle as a Christmas gift from our adult children and their families. It was a huge surprise as we hadn't had any pets for years. We needed allergy friendly puppies due to several family members having reactions to dogs. Our labradoodle, Louie, was just what we needed! He was such a wonderful addition that we decided to find a playmate for him. So, a few short months later, Belle chose us. Training pups is very important to us, but it would leave one baby waiting at home for the other at training. As a result, we found a wonderful breeder who introduced us to Joy - our third pup.
From there our love and excitement for the breed led us to reading many books and talking to other breeders to learn all we could about breeding. Our mentors were a huge help and soon we had all our testing complete and were ready to have a litter.
Our first litter was the most rewarding thing we had done in years! It was so much work but we loved every minute we spent with our precious babies. Puppy Culture is one of the best programs we found and it came highly recommended to us from our mentors. We have now added BAB to be assured our puppies get the best from both programs. Our babies grow to be friendly and confident puppies who enjoy adventures and are always ready to seek out new people and surroundings. The feedback we receive proves to us the programs help our puppies to become exceptional family members. Over the next year, we were introduced to Dolly Rose and she has been a spark in our daily life. She's a very sweet girl with a loving and cuddly personality. She adds the zip in our outdoor playtime. When we found Miles, they became the best of friends despite his laid back nature. Training is ongoing with all of them. Miles has trained for therapy work and will join Louie and Joy while Belle and Rose will continue obedience and work in agility training.
What does life at our home look like for our new puppies?
Since our first litter we have continued to raise multigenerational health tested labradoodles with love. Our home has transformed into a puppies dream with an outside covered area with a sandbox, ball pit, swimming pool, walking board, and tunnels. New toys are introduced daily to add variety. Puppies are desensitized to common noises such as traffic, other animals, thunderstorms, fireworks, and vacuum cleaners. They eat both raw and high quality kibble, to make adjustments to their new homes easier no matter what you decide to feed. Puppies have experience with grooming as we shampoo, blow dry, clean ears, and trim nails frequently. Puppies are handled with love and played with daily getting experience with our 15 grandchildren. We stand by the loving temperaments of our puppies and know they will make a great addition to your family!
Award Winning Seventh Heaven Labradoodles has earned both the Responsible Breeding Program badge and the Excellent Health Testing Practices for Labradoodles badge from Good Dog (gooddog.com).
